On Thursday 20th October, there was nobody in school! We all left the classrooms and went down to Tintern Woods for a nature trail. Infants – 2nd Class headed off with Ms Roche and Ms Hyland, while 3rd – 6th went on a long trail with Mrs Furlong and Ms Walsh.
We spotted various trees, insects, birds, fungi and Mrs Waters! It was great to see her. We had our lunch in the courtyard of Tintern Abbey and then headed off in teams to collect specimens with our pooters.
When we returned, Mrs. Furlongs class made beautiful artwork with leaves, grasses and flowers in the style of artist Andy Goldsworthy. His art is made from nature!
The weather was glorious and we all had a wonderful time. Check out the photos to see what we saw!
