Mrs Furlong’s class have been working on creating some fantastical characters as part of their writing. They have been able to bring theses characters to life using clay. Have a look at the gallery below to see some of their hard work!

Mrs Furlong’s class have been learning all about Tessellation in Maths this week. Children from fifth class tried their hand at emulating the mosaic tiles on the floor of Loftus House using pattern blocks and their new knowledge. See how they got on in the photos below.

Welcome back! On behalf of the teachers and staff, we would like to welcome all our pupils back after the summer holidays.

A special warm welcome to our new Junior Infants who have joined us. We hope you will be very happy here in Ballycullane National School.

Goodbye and Good Luck to our 6th class boys and girls who are leaving Ballycullane N.S. for secondary school. We hope you enjoyed your time here with us and learned lots not only in your subjects but about yourselves. Best of luck, we’ll miss you!

Well done to all the boys and girls who received their attendance awards on the last day of term! We had four girls who never missed a day this past school year – Go Girls!

Wexford Senior hurler Matthew O’Hanlon called by on Tuesday 26th to tell us about his hurling summer camp. It’s running in the following venues:

The first camp is on the 23rd to the 26th of July in the Faythe Harriers Club, and then Coláiste Abbain, Adamstown, host the second camp from the 7th to the 10th of August.

An ‘old’ friend of Ballycullane N.S. popped in to visit us the other day with her team mates from St Leonard’s F.C. As you can see she’s done very well for herself! Well done Jennah, it was great to see you!

Last week we found out what an incredible amount of talent we have in our little school when we decided to run Ballycullane’s Got Talent! We were treated to a variety of top class singing, dancing, rapping, keyboard playing and gymnastic display. The teachers has the toughest job picking finalists and then it was up to the kids to cast their vote for their favourite act in a secret vote.

A very well done to Aed who was the overall winner!

School finishes at 12pm on Wednesday 26th June.

Booklists for 2019/2020 school year are available.
