Field Day 2013
The field day held on Sunday 30th June 2013 was a great success. It raised €1,500 for the school. A massive thank you to everyone who supported our field day. We were blessed with fantastic weather and a great day was had by all who attended.
A particular thank you is due to the Parents Association for planning the day, for organizing the events, to those who gave up their time on the day and manned all the activities, and to all who either donated or sponsored prizes.
The money raised will be a massive help to the school when organizing transportation for swimming and other extra curricular activities in the coming year.
Thank You

We had out school sports day on the 20th of June, just before the end of the school year. It was a beautiful day and everybody had great fun! At the end of the day we had Catherine O’Neill come to visit us and help us raise our second Green Flag. We got this flag for all our hard work in conserving energy in the school. Well done to Mrs. Waters and the Green School Committee!

After all that hard work, everyone relaxed with an ice lolly and a drink and we all enjoyed the lovely sunshine.

Communion collageOn Sunday 19th May, 2nd class were blessed with a lovely day for their First Holy Communion. They celebrated it in St. Martin’s Church, Ballcullane with Fr. Byrne, surrounded by their family and friends. 3rd, 4th and 5th and 6th class did a wonderful job singing in the choir.

Everyone in the 2nd class had a role to play on the day and they did a very good job. Fr Byrne presented them with a prayer book each as a memento of their special day. After the ceremony, all the boys and girls headed off  with their family and friends and enjoyed the fabulous day.

Well done to all those children who represented Ballycullane NS in Bree on Wednesday 15th May. It was a great day, the children had a picnic on the banks of the track.  I am proud to report that everyone was mannerly and courteous to all and were great ambassadors for their school! Many thanks to the parents who travelling to Bree to help – Kenia Van Beusekom, Jo Rossiter and Jenny Ford.

Spring Clean 2013
The School got out and showed how it earned it’s green flag on Friday 19th April. Everyone was busy running here and there in their teams determined to keep our school beautiful! We donned our bibs and gloves, and armed with litter pickers we left no stone unturned in search of any rubbish. By the end of the morning the school was completely litter free!

Last week saw the energy cabin visit us here at the school. The mobile cabin was placed in Ballycullane N.S. to show everyone different examples of renewable energies that are suitable for the home and school.

It includes solar panels, batteries, wind turbine, hydrogen powered kit car, long life bulbs and handy sockets allowing mobile phones to be charged or other electronic devices to be operated.

5th and 6th class boys and girls set up various experiments and demonstrated these to the other classes along with parents and teachers.

Booklists for 2018/2019 school year are available in the BOOKLISTS tab in the PARENTS section of the site.
