This year we went to visit Kilmokea Gardens in Great Island and got involved in activities there.
Infants & 1st got involved in the magic & imagination of the garden – pirate ship, Indian tee-pee, fairy houses, scavenger hunt as well as Forest School.
2nd – 6th were in groups, each group alternating between 3D Archery and Forest School with a walk around the gardens in between
Afterwards 5th & 6th class visited Ballyhack Castle for a guided tour, while the rest of the children went to Kennedy Park and played in the playground there. We all met in Kennedy park in the end and enjoyed the glorious sunshine before heading home. Have a look at the photos below to see how we got on.
It was a beautiful day when children from 3rd to 6th class headed off to Davidstown to attend the first ever small schools GAA blitz. We were playing football. We met other small schools from all over Wexford and made lots of new friends. We played lots of matches and we all got to play in an inflatable pitch. A great day had by all.
Noeleen Doyle returned to see children from 3rd to 6th class last week to teach them how to repair punctures in bicycle tyres. Everybody got to have a go and are now experts!
A big WELL DONE to all the boys and girls who took part in Wexford Primary Sports Day in Enniscorthy on Wednesday June 14th! It was a great day and you did your school proud!
Paul, Claire and Hazel from Fethard Inshore Rescue came to see us recently. They talked to us about the work they do and showed us some of their equipment.
Here’s a link to their Facebook page if you want to follow Fethard Lifeboat Station
We were awarded our 4th Green Flag on May 24th in Kilkenny. This flag was for the Travel theme. Many thanks to Noeleen Doyle for helping us get it!
