Ms Walsh’s class have been studying the various different types of birds in Ireland since September. In an effort to help them eat well during the cold winter months, they made fat balls in class using vegetable suet, peanut butter, breadcrumbs and some sultanas. Using a recipe, the ingredients were all mixed together, loaded into empty yogurt pots and strings were attached. They were left over the weekend to solidify and were ready to be hung out on Monday.
