Monthly Archives: June 2016
Second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth class all went on school tour on Friday 24th of June with Sheilbaggan Outdoor Education Centre. The day started with orienteering at Tintern Abbey then onto Sheilbaggan OEC for archery, high ropes, wall climbing and team challenges. It was a great day and everyone had fun. Check out how they got on below.
Well done to all those who entered and won prizes in our Green Schools competition last week. We had three winners from each room who each won a helmet for their brilliant essays. They had to persuade Mrs Furlong as to why they should have won a helmet. We also had four runners up who all wrote very impressive essays too! Well Done All!
Monday 20th June was Ballycullane N.S. sports day. We began our busy day by heading into New Ross to the Apex for the last swimming lessons of the year. The session was ended with everyone going down the big slide! Back at school, everyone was divided into teams and went around to the different sports stations – gymnastics, uni-hoc, dizzy penalties, shooting hoops, hurling skills, skipping, agility course and others. After lunch everyone took part in some orienteering courses, co-operating together to finish them in the fastest time. To finish everyone played Shark with the giant parachute. It was a great day and everybody had great fun
