Last Thursday afternoon, 2nd , 3rd and 4th class went out onto the yard and into the field, hunting for various leaves as part of their Science lesson. We discovered 9 different types of trees on our school grounds. We found a holly tree, an alder tree, a hawthorn tree, an elder tree, a hazel tree, a maple tree, a sycamore tree, a beech tree and an ash tree. We also collected berries and nuts belonging to these trees and we now have a large display on our nature table in class.
Many Congratulations to Tadhg Furlong who was called up to play for Ireland in the Rugby World Cup 2015 from all the staff and here in Ballycullane N.S. Best of luck Tadgh! COYBIG!!
