Ballycullane N.S. Field Day and Sponsored Bed Push was held on Sunday 8th June 2014 and was a great success. A massive thank you to everyone who supported.
A particular thank you is due to the Parents Association for planning the day, for organizing the events and to those who gave up their time on the day and manned all the activities.
The money raised will be a massive help to the school when organizing transportation for swimming and other extra curricular activities in the coming year.
The School got out and showed how it earned it’s green flag on Friday 2nd May. Everyone got involved and in their teams scoured the school grounds in search of rubbish. Everyone was a winner as we collected 6 bags of rubbish altogether! By the end of the morning the school was completely litter free and beautiful once more!
All the pupils and staff of Ballycullane N.S. wish all mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day.
First Holy Communion
On Sunday 18th May, 2nd class made their First Holy Communion. They celebrated it in St. Martin’s Church, Ballycullane with Fr. Byrne, surrounded by their family and friends.
Everyone in the 2nd class had a role to play on the day and they did a very good job. They had spent a lot of time and effort preparing for the day, learning songs, prayers and making beautiful pieces of art to decorate the church.
Fr Byrne presented them with a prayer book each as a memento of their special day. After the ceremony, all the boys and girls headed off with their family and friends and enjoyed their special day.
On Friday 11th April, we had a no uniform and Easter bonnet day in Ballycullane N.S. Everybody made a huge effort making their Easter bonnets and were entered into a competition to win Easter eggs and other goodies.
