Scien-tastic workshop at New Ross Library
SCIEN-TASTIC conducted science workshops with 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Classes at New Ross Library on Wednesday 6th November. The children became real scientists for a morning through hands-on experimentation and interactive activities. Kitted out in full safety equipment, they learned about acids, polymers, secret writing and made an explosion!
Ballycullane N.S. Open Night
Ballycullane N.S. held a successful open night on Wednesday 23rd October.
The children, their families and the wider community were invited to tour the school, meet the teachers and experience a wide range of classroom activities. The science equipment attracted lots of interest as did our ipods and computers. Art projects were made on the night as were jigsaws and board games. Visitors also had the chance to interact with our P.E. equipment, illustrating the variety of sports on offer in the school.
Our guests also saw the all our hard work with projects, posters and art displayed around the school. A trip down memory lane was also offered with a display of old Communion, Confirmation and class photos set out for everyone’s perusal.
Refreshments were served in the conservatory. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening, and it presented an excellent demonstration of what Ballycullane N.S. is all about: a supportive, friendly learning environment.
